  1. How mist spray and fertilizers effect Tagetes erecta growth Daniel Kemp Secondary Education Tennessee Tech University

  2. Introduction • I planted marigolds some with fertilizer and some without fertilizer • I also watered each pot differently • Some with mist spray and some by regularly pouring water • Awang, Weiner, Karam, Calvet, Atiyeh

  3. Objective and Hypothesis • My objective is to see which plants grew best. • My hypothesis was that the plant with fertilizer and that were mist sprayed would grow better. • My null hypothesis is that it makes no difference how you water marigolds and if you fertilize them

  4. Methods and Materials • In my experiment I followed closely to Awang’s experimental design. • He watered his plants everyday and recorded the data.

  5. Results

  6. Pictures

  7. Discussion • I found out that my hypothesis was wrong • Plants that were fertilized and regular watered grew best. • I thought that plants fertilized and mist sprayed would grow best. • But my experiment did agree with Awang, Calvet, Atiyeh.

  8. Conclusion • Plants grew best that were fertilized and regular watered • Plants grew worst that had no fertilizer and were mist sprayed. • So I had to reject my hypothesis.
