  4. Somebrief observations from Sean: Our lowest scores are for questions: Q8 and Q9, regarding receiving detailed feedback and clarifying feedback Q19 and Q20, regarding personal development in confidence and communications skills I can work on Q19 and 20 in Professional Skills, but wonder whether we can do more on these in the Small Group Tutorials and in the Investigations … sessions? Perhaps we need to get students doing more formative presenting more in small to large classes to build up confidence and communications skills. Q 8 and 9 comes down to feedback in small group tutorials, on coursework, and in Investigations/Projects modules. The overall satisfaction for Physics is now reported separately from the P&A programme, and it’s quite low: 73. P&A overall is 81, suggesting Astro must be around 90. Physics now comes out lower than maths (85). The physics numbers are also low on “Support”, specifically Q10 and Q12 on advice. I wonder if this is more evidence of the P&A programme staffing being unhealthily A-dominated and P-deficient, so the A-students feel at home and the P-students do not.
