Technology Transfer Office The main tasks: Identifies commercial potential; helps bringing the inventions and new technologies to market ; prepares technology offers; protects and develops intellectual property; maintains data base of scientific competences; consults entrepreneurs and researchers; organizes seminars and conferences; builds local and international cooperation.

  5. Key facts • No evaluation for LV patents; • PCT or regional patent applications are evalutated by TTO; • Individual applications; • Competition. • 20% of LV patents are filed by RTU; • IPR policy is aprooved by senate in 2008;
