  6. MORE DETAILS #1 - FIELD TRIP • 3-day Field Trip to Historical Places in Korea • Provides deep insights on the past and the present-day Korea • Generates camaraderie among program participants from other countries *Photographs of Gyeongju and Andong.

MORE DETAILS #2 – CULTURAL WORKSHOP • Designed to foster familiarity with various Korean culture • Offers activities such as pottery making, Taekwondo, Fork Village visit, Kimchi and other traditional food making * Two credits will be awarded for full participation in Field Trip and Cultural Workshops

  8. 2010 ISP COURSE SELECTION LIST • More courses will be added and the course list will be finalized in earlyMay, 2010 • The course registration will start in late May, 2010 • * Two credits will be awarded for full participation in Field Trip and Cultural Workshops

CREDIT AND ITS TRANSFER • Each credit is equivalent to 15 hours of classes. • Students can take classes they want up to 6 credits. • Course schedule and class registration will be available online. • At a student’s request, a certified transcript of the summer program will be sent to the student’s home, college and/or university. • Most universities accept our grade; however, students are advised to confirm with their institutions prior to application and registration to ISP.

  10. OVERALL COSTS ※ Tuition & Application fees are waived for exchange students from partner universities. Please consult with the study abroad advisor at your home institution to find out if you can apply as an exchange student.

DISCOUNTS ♦ Partner University Discount Students from partner universities (i.e. non-exchange students) will be eligible to receive a 50% reduction from the tuition. ♦ Early Bird Discount Students applying by April 15, 2010 will be eligible for a USD $500 tuition discount. ♦ Konkuk Family Scholarship Students whose parents are Konkuk alumni, a full-time faculty or staff member will receive a 50% reduction from the tuition. ♦ Regional Scholarship Students whose home university is from the following continents are eligible to receive a 50% reduction from the tuition - Applicable Regions: Southeast Asia, Middle East Asia, Africa ※Students are only eligible for one of the discounts listed above.

  12. ADMISSION INFORMATION #1 ∙ Applicants must be capable of carrying on college level works in English. ∙ Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. ∙ High school students with college/university acceptance can also apply.

  14. ADMISSION INFORMATION #3 * The application fee must be wire-transferred to the account below with the name of the applicant by the application deadline. * Please pay all wire transfer fees before sending in order to make the payment complete. * Application Deadline : May 30th 2010

VISA ISSUANCE • Upon acceptance to ISP, applicant will be issued with an Acceptance Letter from Konkuk University. • All applicants must submit the letter and other documents required by Korean consulate or embassy in his/her country in order to obtain a C-3 VISA. • Non-VISA nationals(countries with VISA Waiver Agreements with Republic of Korea) may enter without a VISA. • For more information : Korean Immigration Bureau http://www.g4f.go.kr

  16. ACCOMMODATION - KU:L HOUSE • KU:L House is an ultra-modern university residence hall opened in 2006. • All ISP participants will be placed in double occupancy rooms in KU:L House.
