  3. Artwork • Sculptor, photographer, environmentalist • Found materials • Sometimes uses tools • Site specific/land art • Temporary/Permanent • Captures the final piece with photographs • Admits to difficulties with working with nature and moves forward

  4. Red leaves on cracked earth

  5. Stones dipped in water/then frozen to quarry face/made over 3 days/place untouched by the sun in winter

  6. Blades of grass dipped in water and laid on a dead elm tree

  7. Torn lines through elm leaves held to stone with water

  8. Bright sunny morning, frozen snow, cut slab, scraped snow away with a stick, just short of breaking through

  9. Slate arch made over two days, fourth attempt

  10. “Rivers and Tides” Cairns: Stone structures that are supported by their own weight
