  8. Make your own Party • Use the survey to find other “like-minded” students • Form your own political party, complete with name, candidate and symbol • Outline your party platform-include your party’s key issues and your position on them (minimum of 3)

  10. Role of Political Parties Read and take notes on 6 functions of political parties on pp. 460-462. Be sure to get notes on: • Recruiting candidates • Educating the public • Operating the government • Dispensing patronage • The loyal opposition • Reduction of conflict
