The History • 50s and 60s brought smaller more sporty cars to America • Chrysler came out with the Barracuda, Then ford with the Mustang • Dodge wanted a better piece in the action then they're virtual remake of the Barracuda (the original charger) • In 1970 Dodge created the revolutionary Challenger

  3. “Revolutionary” • The Revolution of the Challenger was its E-body • The E-body meant that nearly any engine could be fit inside the frame. • Most Muscle cars of the day were all for looks and nearly no power • The 1970 Challenger Has one of the most powerful engines of the day underneath its hood

  4. Later years • Challengers after the original 1970 version had many more features • Such features included were, AC and heat • Better saftyfeatures • More options and factory add ons • But none of the Challengers lost an ounce of Power

  5. Today and Beyond… • Within the recent year the dodge challenger legend has been reborn • With the new design and high tech features the 2008 and 09 Challengers are becoming more and more popular • And after nearly 40 years the original challenger shape and style lives on in its new models
