  3. Year 3 – RESA Resident Educator Summative Assessment All Resident Educators must complete and successfully pass the RESA before they can apply for a professional 5 year license.

  4. Six RESA Tasks

The Resident Educator Summative Assessment: • Six tasks surrounding classroom instruction & assessment • On-line Assessment (All information must be uploaded) • Artifacts • Evidence • REs must have access to the following: •  Videotaping equipment (e.g. video camera; IPhone) •  Computer •  Scanner •  Copier •  Internet broadband access • Year 3 REs work with a state trained Facilitator

  6. What do REs need from Administrators? • Time • For REs and Mentors to meet • For observations to be scheduled with coverage • Recognition • Amount of required work • REs are considered “Developing” • Correlation of tasks when possible • Respect for confidentiality between RE and Mentor

  7. Roles and Responsibilities of Program Coordinators, Principals, Mentors and Resident Educators for all 4 Years
