  2. The Pi (Touro – Nevada) chapter is still in it infancy. We have been established for approximately three years and have about 30 members. Currently, our influence is growing in our school and community through participation in scholastic and community related service events.

  3. May 2010 • Commencement for 4th year medical students • Commencement party and ceremony • Distinguish members by last year’s president during school’s formal graduation

  4. June 2010 • Meeting of newly initiated members • Election of cabinet members • Projection of budget • Discussion of fund raising • Planning of community related service projects

  5. November 2010 • The Shade Tree Shelter • Homeless shelter for battered women and children in Las Vegas • Requirement for all members • Planned to help those who are less fortunate • Offer support and guidance • Donating diapers, formula, toys, and clothing

  6. December 2010 • Meeting of all members • Discuss previous project • Develop fundraising for second semester • Plan for January service event • Establishment for incoming recruitment requirements

  7. January 2011 • Las Vegas Cancer Relay • Requiring all members to participate • Will help organization with service as well as a financial donation • Members are encouraged to participate in the relay or help through service • Recruiting fellow classmates to also participate

  8. February 2011 • Fundraising event -TBA

  9. March 2011 • General meeting • Initiation of new members • Discussion of commencement for 4th year students • Formal speech at graduation ceremony • Pin/Sash? • Possible graduation party • Establish tentative schedule for next year’s leaders

  11. Summary • We are a dedicated group of young medical professionals all working to improve community of the Greater Las Vegas through education and service • We apologize for not being able to attend, as all cabinet members are away on audition rotations for residency • Thank You
