  1. 2.4 Biographies – What next? • Anneke Sengers • Four issues • Translation - E to SP and SP to E • Editing • Posting • Publishing

  2. Translation • Four SP to E and 2 E to SP interviews have been translated within a week at AMC. They are posted on the NAS Intranet. Translations need to be evaluated for quality (next slide) and priced. • There are funds in the 2011 budget that can be used for more translations.

  3. 2. Editing • IANAS public postings and publications need to be carefully edited. • The WfS-WF interviews have NOT yet been edited for quality, grammar, or appeal to the target public. • Urgently needed: an editorial committee of FPs with skills in science writing (E, SP). Please sign up!! • But wait for a creative alternative proposal

Posting • All interviews and translations have been uploaded to the NAS intranet (E and SP) • All interviews have been uploaded to the IANAS intranet (E or SP) • Eight interviews have been posted on the IANAS public website. (E or SP) • Concern about absence of quality control. Keep them here or not? For discussion.

  5. 4. Publishing – for discussion • Editor (E/SP) needed • Which media? • First convert them to short biographies? • AMC may be able to print them. • But wait for a creative alternative proposalby IANAS co-Chair Mike Clegg
