  3. For in You, O Lord, I hope; You will hear, O Lord my God. (Psalms 38:15) • He trusted & loved God • He learnt all the letters of the alphabet by himself

  4. St. Athanasius placed him as the head of the Catechetical School of Alexandria in 346AD • He was also a good friend of the great St. Anthony, the father of the monks.

  5. St. Didymus wrote 48 books: 20 books on the theology and 28 commentaries on the Old Testament and the New Testament • He departed in peace in the year 398AD
