This exercise was a weapons familiarization event where the Afghan trainers taught other soldiers so they could return to their respective units to begin training their own mortar sections.

  14. RC-SOUTH An Afghan National Army soldier uses a hook and line to reduce an improvised explosive device during a counter IED train the trainer course at Multinational Base TarinKot. The ANA soldiers are now qualified to return to their units and instruct fellow soldiers in C-IED awareness.
