What Scribd does: Scribd describes itself as, “the largest social publishing company in the world.” (http://www.scribd.com/about) Its site allows anyone with a profile to upload original writings and documents from almost any file type- PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. From these files, Scribd creates web documents that can then be shared worldwide.
