Port Angeles - Our Community At WorkOur Community Project Scrub, Polish and Paint Buildings in Downtown Area • Started with an idea on March 21 • Immediately a growing group of community members began to set project into motion • Port Angeles Downtown Association office became “Organization Central”. First Meeting March 30. • Community Presentation at Council Chambers on April 14 • First building pressure washed on April 30 • Project Timeline: May 1 to June 15 (weather permitting) • Results: High Impact and Immediate Facelift of Downtown Buildings through volunteer efforts… A Community Working Together

Port Angeles - Our Community At WorkBundled Services Available • Hartnagel Building Supply, and at Angeles Millwork and Lumber Co. • Secured special pricing with vendor partners • Voucher for businesses/building owners available to purchase supplies • Angeles Mill Works: Just Ask Rental Department. • Donated use of man-lift & pressure washer for 6 weeks, Bob Hill & Lonnie Lin 457-8581, or cell phone at 417-2596. • Sunset Hardware & NC Machinery: Donated 2 man lifts & a pressure washer for 6 weeks • Parker Paint: 25-30% discount on paint • City of Port Angeles • $75 Permit Savings • Food for Volunteers • Country Aire • Cornerhouse Restraurant • Port Angeles Food Bank • Chestnut Cottage • First Street Haven

Port Angeles - Our Community At WorkAdopt A Building Concept • Anyone Can Adopt A Building • Owners, Businesses, Service Groups, Individuals • Contact Jan Harbick, PADA, to Adopt a Building • 360-457-9614 • A Volunteer Coordinator will be assigned to the project • Volunteers will have to sign a Hold Harmless Waiver • Each building will have a “Go To Guy”, i.e. construction foreman • Adopting group can provide their own ‘Go To Guy’ • Or, a ‘Go to Guy’ volunteer will be assigned

Port Angeles - Our Community At WorkArt Backdrop for Empty Store Fronts • Art in Empty Store fronts will enhance the downtown experience • Create art backdrops that tell a story about our city and surrounding area • What to do and where to go while in Port Angeles • History, outdoor activities, what we love best! • Provide a virtual ‘Visitor’s Center’ walking tour • Initial artwork created at Studio Bob’s during Second Saturday Art Weekend in March • Additional artwork will be second phase of this project
