Most popular digital formats for web pages are:

WAVE (Waveform Audio File Format)

invented for Windows

AU (Audio File Format)

invented by Apple for Mac platform

recognizable:

WAVE (“wav”)

AU (“au”)

MIDI (“midi” or “mid”)
