  16. 18. 1-6 Love One Another - 719 Angry words! O let them never From the tongue unbridled slip; May the heart’s best impulse ever Check them ere they soil the lip.

  19. 2-6 Love One Another - 719 “Love one another,” (“Love each other,) thus saith the Savior; (Love each other,”) Children obey the Father’s blest command; (‘tis the Father’s blest command.) “Love one another,” (“Love each other,) thus saith the Savior; (Love each other,”) Children obey the blest command; (‘tis the blest command.)

  20. 3-6 Love One Another - 719 Love is much too pure and holy, Friendship is too sacred far, For a moment’s reckless folly Thus to desolate and mar.

  21. 4-6 Love One Another - 719 “Love one another,” (“Love each other,) thus saith the Savior; (Love each other,”) Children obey the Father’s blest command; (‘tis the Father’s blest command.) “Love one another,” (“Love each other,) thus saith the Savior; (Love each other,”) Children obey the blest command; (‘tis the blest command.)

  22. 5-6 Love One Another - 719 Let our words be sweetly spoken, Let kind tho’ts be greatly stirred; Show our love to one another With abundance of kind words.

  23. 6-6 Love One Another - 719 “Love one another,” (“Love each other,) thus saith the Savior; (Love each other,”) Children obey the Father’s blest command; (‘tis the Father’s blest command.) “Love one another,” (“Love each other,) thus saith the Savior; (Love each other,”) Children obey the blest command; (‘tis the blest command.)

  24. Proverbs 15:13-25 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast. Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil. Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred. A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway. A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother. Folly delights a man who lacks judgment, but a man of understanding keeps a straight course. Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. A man finds joy in giving an apt reply and how good is a timely word! The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave. The LORD tears down the proud man’s house but he keeps the widow’s boundaries intact

  25. How to reduce tension? • Have Fun/Laugh • Learn to Be Content • Get Rid of Anger • Walk in Wisdom

  26. 1. Have Fun/Laugh Proverbs 15:13, 15 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast. Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones

  27. 3 Things to give your children • Life • Love • Laughter

  28. 3 Rules for the Home • Be Fair • Be Firm • Be Fun

  29. 2.Learn to Be Content Proverbs 15:16-17 - Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil. Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred. Philippians 4:11 - Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content I Timothy 6:8- But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that Hebrews 13:5 – Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

  30. Luke 12:15 - Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." I Timothy 6:6-9 - But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

  31. 3. Get Rid of Anger Proverbs 15:18 - A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel 14:17 - A quick-tempered man does foolish things, and a crafty man is hated. 18:13 - He who answers before listening--that is his folly and his shame. 29:20 - Do you see a man who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for him 15:1 - A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger James 1:19-20 - My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires

  32. Ask God to guard your tongue Anticipate problem areas Commit those things to God Learn from the past Attack the problem not the person

  33. 4. Walk in Wisdom Proverbs 15:21, 22, 33 - Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. A man finds joy in giving an apt reply--and how good is a timely word!..The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Matthew 7:24-27 -Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

  34. 1-3 Trust and Obey - 915 When we walk with the Lord In the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

  35. 2-3 Trust and Obey - 915 Not a shadow can rise, Not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt nor a fear, Not a sigh nor a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

  36. 3-3 Trust and Obey - 915 Then in fellowship sweet, We will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, Where He sends we will go Never fear, only trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

  37. 1-4 Paradise Valley - 898 As I travel thru life, with its trouble and strife, I've a glorious hope to give cheer on the way; Soon my toil will be o'er and I'll rest on that shore Where the night has been turned into day.

  38. 2-4 Paradise Valley - 898 Up in paradise valley By the side of the river of life, Up in paradise valley, We'll be free from all from all pain and all strife; There we'll live in the garden Neath the shade of the evergreen tree, How I long for the paradise valley, Where the beauty of heaven I'll see

  39. 3-4 Paradise Valley - 898 As I roam the hillside, or I list to the tide, As I pluck the sweet flowers that grow in the dale; A faint picture is there of a land bright and fair Where perennial flowers ne'er fail.

  40. 4-4 Paradise Valley - 898 Up in paradise valley By the side of the river of life, Up in paradise valley, We'll be free from all from all pain and all strife; There we'll live in the garden Neath the shade of the evergreen tree, How I long for the paradise valley, Where the beauty of heaven I'll see
