  5. STATISTICS About 13-14% of the school population in the USA has a condition that qualifies them for special education services. About 5.5% of those are dyslexic. Some estimates say as many as 20% of the general population may be dyslexic or have characteristics of dyslexia. (IDA Fact Sheets, 2012)

West of the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, says, “…millionaires are significantly more likely to [be dyslexic] than the rest of the population …learning difficulties are one of the most important precursors of financial success…dyslexics, who tend not to be good at details, learn to excel by grasping the bigger picture and producing original ideas.”
