This month edited by Sir Saff Tafford (a Past Rabbit Captain) MARCH 2012 CNP Rabbit newsletter - FREE Welcome to this first edition newsletter, a short one page monthly update on what’s happening in our Rabbit section. Whose doing well and other important information about the section this year as well as a little bit of section banter! Look out for future editions at the beginning of each month available free on the Notice board. Mike RC & Gary RVC Quick look back at our winners last year. Well done all: Future editions will pick out all those doing well as the season progresses League table – end of last season Shield Mick Tiffany Singles Barrie \Seymore Trophy Andy Sheldon Rabbit Singles:One of the biggest and most anticipated competition draws will take place on xx/xx/xx and is open to all those who join the rabbit section. Moving forward look out for updates here. If your game is on song! and you want to be considered for the league team let John Cryer, team manager, know please First league match: 1st June. Team will be posted on the notice board. Make sure you check and confirm you can play when selected Social event round up: The Rabbit notice board will have a count down of the Rabbit social and team events this year. Make sure you add your name when the lists go up! Next big Rabbit events:: Millenieum Trophy 22nd April May day Shield 3rd May Buck Rabbits: The best of the best during last year. Points are awarded for the position the top 10 Rabbits finish in each of the clubs majors. (10 pts to 1pt) Records are maintained by Peter Horrocks and will be published in the newsletter and website(tbc) 2nd Again!!!! Graham Thomas Winner Chris Stirk BOARD COMPS 2012 Rabbit Shield Rabbit Captains Day Trophy Buck Rabbits Rabbits Singles Course gossip New members – get your cards in True or False? 54 Rabbits entered the singles comp last year Welcome all new members, those putting cards in and those who have joined but not yet involved in the Rabbit section. We have booked Tue evening tee times for a bit of a rabbit social and have Club members available to mark cards. Always drinks after as well. If this is you, please put your name down in the shop. Let us help you know more about the club and make the Rabbits section even stronger 3rd hole Jan 2012 SPOT the BALL comp winner: Initials DT Rabbits representing the club CNP Rabbits friendly fixtures Huddersfield & Halifax District Rabbits Golf Association - HHDRGA Yorkshire Rabbits Golf Association - YRGA Representative news: There are a number of opportunities to represent the club. If you are interested in sampling a local club in our Friendly fixtures this year look out for the team list on the notice board and put your name down. In addition, we have a number of District and Yorkshire events. See over for list of Representative fixtures played. The next big Rabbit team event is the Millennium trophy. Bit of a tradition at the club. An annual fixture V’s Lightcliffe where we play the front 9 either there or here and then swap before this years dinner to be held at Lightcliffe. Team of 8.
