  1. Drift Chambers at DESY and CERN Mike Green, Fabrizio Salvatore, Michele Faucci Giannelli

  2. Work done so far • DESY: • Digitization for MC • Efficiency • Drift velocity • Resolution study • New: • Update of digitization and track reconstruction • New resolution Royal Holloway Group

  3. Update in processors • Paul and Hakan discovered a bug in the code, the ordering of the chamber was correct but when reconstructing there was a swap between DC1 and DC2. Now is correct. • 2 now is well defined as: where x are the measurement and y the fitted points Royal Holloway Group

  4. New Resolution Royal Holloway Group Now 1.61 mm it was 1.63, previous result confirmed

  5. Next step of analysis • CERN setup: software 90% ready, need a procedure to calculate the “drift velocity”. • MC studies: • Single chamber resolution. • Calculate resolution at ECAL FF @ CERN. • Release of all new processors in CVS repository (anyone know how to do that?). • Study of 2 for real data analysis, add a 3 point fit for DESY in case of bad points. • Beam spread issue, further study. Royal Holloway Group
