  4. Location Motivations • Grocery shops without any self-service facilities • No frills, Wal-Mart, Sobeys… • Facilitate better shopping experience • Less time consuming shopping process Competition • Express line • Self check out

Methodology • Dynamic group of members • Origin of idea: • Ways to minimize congestion in everyday life • Focus on the user and the user’s needs • Brainstorm: to improve school & library system, onto improving the shopping experience • A contactless smart card • Uniqueness • Cash/credit cards not needed • Exit terminal sensors

  6. Target Audience • Primary user • Females • Age range: 30-50 years old • Working and married • Values time • Secondary user • University/College students • Values efficiency

  7. Design – requirements gathering • Smart cards + sensor + RFID technology + touch screen + exit terminal sensors • Card Capacity & Conditions • Maximum top up value: $200 Canadian • Top up at the cash register or on the website • Refundable fees: $20 after 30 days
