  3. It is promoted as contributing significantly to the local economy, with the creation of up to 10,000 permanent jobs, including 2,001 jobs going to people in the local area. The centre opened on 13 September 2011. Newham has high levels of unemployment and remains committed to ensuring residents benefit from taking advantage of opportunities created by regeneration projects across the borough.

  6. Built in a place where you don’t walk past the old town centre- they lose business

  7. Stratford station • A new station Stratford international for tube, over ground, DLR, • large multilevel east london National Rail services 21 million passengers a year thirteenth busiest station

  8. Domestic high-speed services • The full service started on 13 December 2009 using Class 395 multiple units. The typical off-peak service is: • 4tph (trains per hour) to St Pancras International (taking 7 minutes)[8] • 2tph to Faversham • 1tph to Margate via Ashford International and Canterbury West • 1tph to Dover Priory via Ashford International[8] • The peak hour service is 19 trains arriving at St Pancras between 07:00 and 09:59.

  11. Provides key transport between major cities in europe and also a n all business class flight to JFK via shannon and clears immigration in shannon. Links the two economic centres of the world.

Airport master plan • The master plan shows a phased expansion of the airport, giving the capability of handling 8 million passengers per annum by 2030 • in line with phase 1 of the master plan, London City Airport made a planning application to the London Borough of Newham in August 2007. This would allow it to increase the number of flights per year from 80,000 to 120,000 by 2010…it was declined

  13. Ideas • Our iideas would be to make use of the olympic site , for example by having sports events and sports festivals. • Also we think they asould build a museum all about london 2012 and the legacy it is meant to leave behuind
