  1. Courageous Leadership Making “Little” Leaders

  2. Zech. 4:6 So he said to me, "This is the word of the Lord: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty.

  3. Leadership DNA • Mirror vs. Camera What do you do with light? • Terrestrial vs. Celestial What is precious to you?

  4. Leadership DNA • Self-sufficiency vs. God sufficiency What really drives you?

  5. The Heart of the Matter • God needs little leaders Mark 10:45 For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many."

  6. John 3:30 He must become greater; I must become less.

  7. There’s nothing more frustrating and disempowering than to apply a human view of leadership to work in God’s Kingdom. This is a sure means of achieving mediocrity.

  8. The Courage to be little • It’s not about us 1 Cor. 2:2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

  9. The Courage to be little • It’s not about what we can do 2 Cor. 3:5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.

  10. The Courage to be little • It’s not our agenda Philip. 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

  11. If Jesus Christ is only a teacher, then all He can do is frustrate me by setting a standard before me I cannot attain. What is the point of presenting me with such a lofty ideal if I cannot possibly come close to reaching it? I would be happier if I never knew it. What good is there in telling me to be what I can never be?

  12. But when I am born again by the Spirit of God, I know that Jesus Christ did not come only to teach—He came to make me what He teaches I should be. The redemption means that Jesus Christ can place within anyone the same nature that ruled His own life… Oswald Chambers

  13. The little leader’s prayer Lord, create in me what I cannot.
