September: Dates & Deadlines • Friday 9/12: Deadline to register for the 10/11 SAT (or SAT II’s) • Friday 9/19: Deadline to register for the 10/25 ACT • Friday 9/19: Faculty College Shirt Day • Tuesday 9/23: College Trip to Lehigh University • Wednesday 9/24-Thursday, 9/25: SUNY College Fair • 9/22-11/14: Individual college meetings with Mrs. Gibbons

  4. September: Things to Work On • Your College Essays • Your College List • Preparing your “My College Choices” handout for our individual meeting • This will be distributed in Advisory next week • This will also serve the double-purpose of helping you decide on your CUNY and SUNY schools

  5. October: Dates & Deadlines • Wednesday 10/1: Deadline for students to notify Mrs. Gibbons of Early Action/Early Decision applications • Thursday 10/9: Deadline to register for 11/8 SAT test date • Saturday 10/11: SAT Test Administration • Monday 10/20: UVA event @ 6pm • Saturday 10/25: ACT Test Administration • Saturday 10/25: Big Apple College Fair (1-4pm)

  6. October: Things to Work On • CUNY application • SUNY application • Common App • Prepare for and attend info sessions with college reps for schools you are interested in • Continue to visit colleges if you can throughout the fall

  7. November: Dates & Deadlines • If you are applying early anywhere, check for Nov. deadlines • Thursday 11/6: Deadline to register for 12/6 SAT • Friday 11/7: Deadline to register for 12/13 ACT • Saturday 11/8: SAT Test Administration • Friday 11/14: Finalized College Lists due

  8. November: Things to Work On • Your applications • Keep Mrs. Gibbons informed • Keep Naviance updated • eDocs

  9. December: Dates & Deadlines • Monday 12/1 (6:00pm): Macaulay Honors deadline • Monday 12/1: SUNY application deadline • Thursday 12/11: Financial Aid Night • You and/or your parents should attend • Details of the FAFSA to be reviewed • Other colleges: various deadlines • Check Naviance and college websites

  11. College Office: Support • 9/22-11/14: Individual College Meetings • Mrs. Gibbons available for informal check-ins and questions during lunch (6th period) • After school • Counselor Recommendations
