Class goals. • I will be ready to learn when I enter the classroom. • Read and understand the directions before asking, “what are we doing?” or saying “I don’t understand”. • Know when talking and socializing is okay and when you should be quiet and listen. • Check your grades at least every other day.

Language objectiveHow I will do it. I will review my bienvenida cards and Cornell notes with a partner. I will use my unit vocabulary sheet to write the words in Spanish. I will read a short article that uses some of the new vocabulary and write the questions and responses.

Actividad: leer rápido (goal # 2) • Work with the person next to you. • One person will have the questions to the bienvenida showing on the desk in random order, the other person will have the answers showing also in random order. • Teacher will read a question or response and you will need to get the card before your partner. • The one with the least amount of cards will get to sing with others in front of the class. • Old McDonald.   24. Paper turn in • Two scores on paper. • One is circled • One has a rectangle around it. • Place in order on the table. • Pick up project handout.

  25. Country Project Partnership • Gather your items and go sit by the person you want to be doing the project with. • Decide on a country (on the white board) that you will want to have for your project. • Write your names next to the country. (Only one set of names per country.)

  26. Translate the unit words. Write them correctly. (goal # 1 & 2) • Work on the first two columns. • Write the translation to the unit vocabulary next to the English word. • If you do not know the word or are unsure of the spelling, you may use a phone or a text book. • Have it checked to get a stamp. The stamp is your credit. The stamp will be put on your homework paper.

  27. Lectura • Please get a whisper phone and a reading paper off the table. • Read the short story out loud using the whisper phone. (Goal 1, 2) • Even though the answers are in multiple choice format, you are to write the question and the answer on your paper. (Goal 1, 2)

  28. Entregar la asignación (Goal # 2 & 3) You should have two scores on your paper. • Homework in a circle above the “L” of the title • Cornell note review in a rectangle above the word “bienvenida” of the title.

  29. Clean (goal #2 & 5) • If your desk has marks on it besides the number in the left hand corner, please get a sock from the basket and a spray bottle that has purple liquid in it. • When you are finished with the sock, please place it behind the teacher’s desk on the floor and return the spray bottle to the filing cabinet or table. • Please pick up any paper or other items off the floor that should not be there.

  30. Rows 1 & 3 are to put the chairs up please.
