  2. 1. Taking Decisions. • When new changes which involve the students directly are being taken by the administration, the Student council takes part of the decision. This year we had better communication skills with our head of school, Ms. Debono. • This year the Student Council proposed that there should be a summer t-shirt to go with the uniform and this proposal was accepted.

  3. 2. Student Council Sales. • In order to raise more funds to organize activities for the students in school and please the needs of the students, we decided to put up some sales from which we could increase our funds.

  4. Our Sales. • Good- luck grams. • 3 cake & muffin sale. • Pop-corn sale. • Christmas- cards sale.

  5. 3.Welcoming form 1s. • At the beginning of the scholastic year, we welcomed the first formers at our school by making auditions to see their talents. The students that audited for this talent show, had their part and performed during the second break in front of the form one students.

  6. 4.Greeting A Student @ hospital. • As a Student Council’s role to reach all students of our school we visited a student of ours at hospital at Christmas time. • We bought her a small gift and a Christmas card, signed by all the school students and staff.

  7. 5.Auditors meet Student Council. • Five school auditors from the Education Division were present in the school: Principal Education Officer Mr George Calleja and the Education Officers Ms Sina Micallef, Mr Frank Muscat, Mr John Preca and Mr Charles Spiteri. Among others, they met the school council and discussed with the students and teachers involved the role of the council in school and its present and future activities.

  10. 6.Meeting other Student Councils. • During one of our regular meetings, the student council of Lorenzo Gafa’ visited us. We discussed our ways of doing the meeting and shared some ideas with them. This helped us to make more friends and learn other skills.

  11. 7.Spending a day @ a new school. • The Students council was invited at the College of St. Benedict to discuss some issues which consisted of doing a proper meeting. This helped us to ask whatever we wanted regarding their school. We also planned to take part in an activity with their students.

  12. 8. President’s speech during prize day. • Each year the president of the student council presents a speech and shows the student’s point of view during that year.

  13. Plans for the future. • The Student Council is preparing the following activities: • A weekend break for the 5th formers & 2. A magazine for all the students which includes general information and tips for daily use.

  14. Last Step! • Our next step will be at the election on the 27th of April and a new Student Council will be elected!
