To reinforce the link between the prime street level at Leighton Road (community from all walks of life) and Po Leung Kuk headquarters premises level (a charity body of the community)

To extend the street nature up along the episodic stair, which penetrates into the circulation space of the communal supporting facilities at podium level.

Circulation staircase as spaces tonourish physical and visual interaction between people as well as between man and nature.


TRANSPARENCY

To “borrow” the “green” and “openness” from the existing outdoor garden in its forecourt into the highly condensed building interior layout

  • To infiltrate the daily school life into the community urban life via

  • transparent building envelope,

  • the corridors asscenic galleries when viewing from the street


INTERNAL ORGANIZATION

To organizeclassrooms in modular units for flexibility of alteration to meet future needs

To link all teaching floors with a user friendly internal staircase to encourage taking steps as the prime means oftraveling between floors.
