  2. Tons of Tales • This unit will focus on fairy tales. The students will compare, contrast and analyze fairy tales from different countries. The students will create a fairy tale of their own and present it on a power point.

  3. Objectives • Students will be able to compare & contrast characteristics of fairy tales • Students will appreciate literature more having some background knowledge and history as a foundation to understanding it

  4. Fairy Tales • Fairy Tales are stories that tell of miraculous and fantastic happenings..

  5. Characters • The main character in fairy tales are often supernatural and can do all sorts of extraordinary things

  6. Characters • These beings could be creatures such as fairies, goblins, elves, giants, trolls, leprechauns, witches, and wizards.

  7. Settings • Fairy Tales can take place anywhere at any time.

  8. Examples of Fairy Tales Sleeping Beauty The Three Little Pigs Cinderella Hansel and Gretel Jack and the Beanstalk
