Proposed Motions • Set Gold registration at a max of $850, set Silver registration at a max of $500 • Ratify the proposed ALSA Bylaw 18 – ALSA Conference Bursary • Allow LSSs to provide clients/witnesses/associates • Allow judge registration • Allow students to apply to register as judges Questions?

Conference Cup Started for Conference 2012 The concept: points are awarded for LSSs’ promotion of and participation in Conference THERE IS A $1000 PRIZE FOR THE WINNING LSS The problem: • LSSs did not participate because they did not understand what was required – the bylaw is quite vague • The Convenor took the whole burden upon herself Questions?

Conference Cup The solution: • It necessarily requires innovation from LSSs • However we will produce guidelines about how you can participate • I am appointing a specific officer that will take charge of Conference Cup – they will update the website much more regularly! • There is a separate email for Conference Cup submissions: conference.cup@alsaconference.com.au • Points awarded proportionately Questions?

  26. Participation in Conference Cup PROMOTION • Posters, videos etc (official Conference or your own) • Conference Launch Party • ALSA branding on things you already do (if you wish) • Flinders: pub crawl • Murdoch: dorky pics • Pics or it didn’t happen Questions?

  27. Participation in Conference Cup AT CONFERENCE • Coming and actively participating in education and careers events • E.g. submitting a question for the Careers Q&A or ALEF 1 • Getting in the spirit of Conference • Dressing to theme • Being a client, witness or associate Questions?

  28. Participation in Conference Cup CONFERENCE CUP IS A SIGNIFICANT INCENTIVE FOR YOU TO MARKET CONFERENCE AND A REWARD FOR YOU DOING SO TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY MAKE IT WORTH IT! Questions?
