  1. What is it like being 13 In 2013?

  2. Being 13 in 2013 is a breeze, compared to 1913. • We don’t have to do gruelling jobs which include Chimney Sweeping. • We don’t have to adapt to poor living conditions.

  3. 2013 is an Iconic year for technology, which includes transport, gaming, army weapons and advanced equipment for medicines. • We have all mastered every single new piece of technology, yet outstandingly the older generation, haven't got a clue.

  4. Medicines • Medicines have really evolved in the last 10 years. It has helped improve life expectancy and it has helped to reduce chances of diseases killing you. In the 1900’s Doctors did not have enough technology to find the diseases, and fight them. Instead they had to wait for the body to fight the illness, or the illness to beat the body.

  5. Transport • Since the first car, transport has changed so-very much. With the new Planes and Bullet trains you can possibly never be late. People walking from place to place has gone down by 75% as Cars and Public Transport have become a lot more mainstream. This leads to people becoming unfit and obese.

  6. Gaming • Gaming is a fairly new concept, but it has evolved a lot over the years. We had the first production games, for example, Pong which was a simple ‘Tennis’ game. Now we have a huge variety of games which include Call of Duty and Fifa, and they are played on high performance PC’s and Gaming Consoles. These have changed the way people live and can Exclude a Variety of different Activities

  7. Armies and Weaponry • In the 1900’s we had both world wars. In the first we only had Rifles, Heavy Machine guns and other simple Weapons. In world war two we have slightly more advanced machinery, Bayonettes, Planes, shotguns, and a variety of more weapons. But today we have Launchers, Helicopters, and more advanced weapons. The soldiers have more training to become more enhanced armies, and to win wars.

  8. Conclusion • The world has become more advanced, in around 100 years. We have a higher life expectancy, Better armies, Faster Transport and Enhanced gaming systems. Although we have less Freedom (Mainly due to Health and Safety) We have Safer Environments and Living Conditions.
