  3. Le monument est une combinaison de pierre rose et de marbre blanc pur. La pierre rose symbolise la Bhakti en floraison éternelle et le marbre blanc symbolise la pureté absolue et la paix éternelle. Akshardham a été créé par le Swami Maharaj qui accomplissait le désir de son gourou Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj, le quatrième successeur de HDH Pramukh dans la hiérarchie spirituelle de Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
