  3. Handbook Review: Why? • Equal playing field • Same page as teachers • Professionalism • Personal Responsibility

  4. Attendance by decade

  5. Policy: • Dese requires 90% of students to have 90% of attendance (DESE) • High School attendance: 8 absences per semester • Excused/unexcused

  6. Attendance continued: • Appeals: an appeals process has been put in place to give students due process • Appeals may or may not be granted, and students may be required to complete additional requirements to receive credits
