  5. Team Focus • Coach the WHOLE team….not just the outfield players! • Talk to keeper about his/her responsibilities within your team’s system/style of play • Don’t neglect the goalkeeper’s foot skills! 80% of touches done with feet now! NC – December 2013

Ideas • Most don’t coach the keeper because they’re not sure what to coach • Practices and other resources that will help are available • Decision making, distribution, and positioning are biggest thing the team coach can emphasize. • When running these drills, main focus is on the keeper NOT the outfield players.
