CargoNet is a division of Verisk Crime Analytics, which specializes, among other fields, in supply chain security.Best in Security Award: CargoNet uses the Intermediary category to distinguish facilitators from end-providers. Security and safety from an intermediary is crucial because it exists at a fundamental level in the supply chain, a level that the end-provider has no control over. In other words, if a shipper uses a Landstar broker and that broker were to provide an unsafe, unsecure service, then the service delivered by the end-provider is inherently flawed.
