  1. LinkedIn Profile Writing Tips Having a professional and impressive LinkedIn profile means more chances of getting the job. But, most of the people confuse LinkedIn profile writing with resume writing and don’t pay attention to details. This is where they make a mistake, LinkedIn profile writing is much more than that. It tells the recruiters who you are, what you exactly do and how you will add value to their company. If you want to get some practical LinkedIn profile writing tips, read the content below: Start Your LinkedIn Profile Writing With “Why” If you are a normal human being and not an egocentric sociopath, you may find it challenging to write about yourself in glowing terms. This can make it pretty hard to write attractive content for your profile, and that’s where people make the mistake of using just formal writing and thinking of LinkedIn profile as a resume. But it is much more than just a resume. It is your best shot to getting a job that you deserve, and that is why you need to include proper reasoning in it to make sure the reader is not just impressed but also understands your purpose for seeking this job or pursuing this specific career. So he can get the answer to why he should hire you. So include questions like why do you do what you do, why have you been successful and why are you motivated to pursue a career? Make Your Headline Pop: Most of the people make the mistake of writing their job or expertise in the headline. Though this is acceptable, the best thing to write in your headline is to tell the profile viewer what’s in it for him. It is just like the billboards that you see on the roads. They tell you what you will get if you accept their offer or get their service. You need to do the same. You need to tell the recruiter what value you will provide for his firm. Pay Attention to Summary: You should give most of your time to crafting a perfect summary. You don’t need to hoard stuff, just keep it small and keep it relevant. It is suggested that you start the summary with a small lead in sentence summarising your whole summary. That sentence will make the reader want to read further. You can first write the summary in short paragraphs that capture your worth as a professional. And then you can summarise that summary in a small sentence that you can use as a lead in. Appear as a Humanitarian Person: LinkedIn is a professional network, and non-sense and non-professional content will only reduce the odds of you impressing the recruiter. Try to humanise yourself in your profile in a very professional way. Things that you do for the sake of humanity like volunteering to save dogs, sitting on a corporate or non- corporate profit board or helping NGOs on your free days, can be added to the volunteerism section. People prefer to work with humans, not robots; if you show that you care for your community, they will appreciate you more.
