  1. Request for Proposal or Information (RFP/RFI) Process Sales Operations, CDC, and Local Partners

  2. Acronyms • SO = Sales Operations • CDC = Collaborative Development Council • LP = Local Partner • RFP = Request for Proposal • RFI = Request for Information • AM = Attraction Manager • BDM = Business Development Manager

  3. RFP/RFI Received by MEDC • SO will review and evaluate the RFP/RFI • Determine confidentiality • Determine important project information • Determine deadline • Determine AM/BDM project lead • SO will send the RFP/RFI to the CDC leads (and designated contact approved by CDC leads) • If a region is designated in the RFP/RFI SO will put appropriate contact names in the To Field. • Other CDC contacts will be added to the CC Field as a courtesy.

  4. Site Requests (Not affiliated with RFP/RFI) • SO will review and evaluate the site request • Determine if there is project information • Determine deadline • Create a site request name for easy recognition • SO will perform a site search in the MEDC site database • SO will send the site request, along with sites found in the MEDC site database, to the CDC leads (and designated contact approved by CDC leads)

  5. CDC Responsibility • CDC lead (or designated contact) will send the site search and/or RFP/RFI to their regions • CDC will also assist regions that are not equipped to answer RFP/RFIs correctly • MEDC will forward any responses from the regions to the CDC that are not completed correctly for follow up

  6. Information Returned to MEDC • Any LP or region can forward responses to SO • SO will compile all responses and review and evaluate for completeness • If response is not completed correctly or missing information, SO will send to the CDC lead for follow up and assistance

  7. Final Proposal • SO will send the final response to the CDC leads • CDC leads will share the final response to their regions • All project questions should be sent to the AM/BDM project lead

  8. Topics to Discuss • Continue to be transparent? • Any suggestions on the current process? • Quick Turn Around on Deadlines? • Zoom Prospector / GIS proposal center? • Site search and RFP/RFI templates
