Outreach to other spectrum engineering related symposia

Outreach to Other Spectrum-Engineering Related Symposia

  • Several symposia address Spectrum Engineering, such as…

  • Waveform Diversity Symposium…

  • Is the EMCS and TC6 visible there?

  • Should we be?

Statistical culling

Statistical Culling?!?

  • Historically, RF compatibility analysis was carried out using:

    • Frequency Culling

    • Amplitude culling

  • Techniques most suited for analog systems, but – not for digital and pulsed transmitters

    • Lower duty cycle

    • Error correction coding used

  • Probability of interference (BER, MER) should be considered even when amplitude/frequency culling indicate possible interference

    • In-band and out of band coupling to be considered

    • Statistical models need to be evaluated

  • It is proposed to create a WG to address this question

  • I propose to lead the effort, developing:

    • Problem formulation

    • Roadmap for activity
