Current Engagement Events: • CETL-MSOR 2008 Conference (121 delegates from 49 HEIs) • Induction Course 2008 (36 delegates from 19 HEIs) • Postgraduate Teaching Workshops (205 delegates from 16 HEIs) • Ongoing workshop programme Publications: • 5 printed F&F leaflets now available (~21,000 copies distributed in 2007/2008)

  3. Current Engagement Publications: • MSOR Connections (46 case studies from 26 HEIs on 2007/2008 • CETL-MSOR 2008 Conference Proceedings (27 submissions) • Occasional Series Publications, Guides and Conference Proceedings Funding: • Annual call for mini-projects

  4. Current Engagement Areas of Activity: • Initial & continuing professional development • Computer assisted assessment • E-learning resources in mathematics & statistics • Problem-based learning in statistics • Peer support • Supporting students beyond the transition • Employability and graduate skills • Supporting students with disabilities

Communicating with Departments Key Departmental Contacts • 84 Contacts within 95 HEIs • Regular mailouts • Monthly issue of ‘Connect’ for circulation within department Questions • Are you aware of your Key Contact? • Does your department receive information on the Network and its activities? • How can communication with departments be enhanced?

A New Model for Engagement Departmental Meetings & Seminars • In 2008/2009 the Network is offering tailored departmental visits • 4 currently organised looking at alternative forms of assessment and independent learning Questions • How might such meetings/visits work best? • What topics should they (would you like them to) cover?
