  3. What is a Digital Media Group 4-H Network News is a hands-on project group that is focused on enhancing 4-H members’ communication and technological skills, while increasing their self-confidence and community awareness

  4. Why do it? • Part of the SET Initiative • 4-H’ers are already excited about technology

  5. What do we need? • Internet accessibility • Computer with editing software • Digital camera • Digital camcorder • Digital voice recorder

  6. Where do we find content? • Your 4-H program • Project areas • Judging team videos • How-to videos • School curriculum • County Contests • Fundraisers

  7. Where do we find content? • Local Community • Highlight facilities • Recycle centers • Animal Shelter • Parks/greenways • Election Office • Highlight Programs • Recreation Leagues • Fire Service • Solid Waste Pick-up • Blood Collection

  8. Where do we find content? • Local Media • Newspaper and Radio Station • They will often work hand-in-hand with your kids to cover stories that have a youth angle • Great source for mentors
