  1. 2012 DECLARATIONS • I understand that my life’s results will be a by-product of my choices; therefore I will expect what I consistently reflect. • I understand that I make the best decisions when the subject matter is fully illuminated. In short, I need to stop dressing in the dark.

  2. Luke 6:31 (NIV) • Do unto others as you would have them do to you…

  3. Putting Order In My SpacePart IIIdeality TV

  4. The Creating of The Woman • 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” • The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

  5. 20……..But for Adam no suitable helper was found. • 21So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

  6. The Woman Is the Crescendo of Creation • The male man was made to Initiate, Give, and to Cover… • The female man was made to Receive, Respond, and Reflect her environment. • A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. (1 Co. 11:7) Women today for the good or bad are reflections of what we male men have initiated. • While a man’s primary love language is generally Words of Affirmation a woman’s primary love language is “Acts of Service”

  7. Genesis 3:1-6 • Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” • 2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”4“You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5“For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

  8. 6When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. • How did Eve know what God had said about the tree when there is no record of God telling her? • Where was Adam when Eve was seeing, contemplating, and first eating the fruit? • Why did Adam eat of the fruit in light of the fact that according to 1 Tim. 2:14, he was not deceived?

  9. Women are “Sponges” • Few things escape a woman’s radar • She perceives more dynamically then men with all of her senses…” Something doesn’t feel right” • She reflects more outwardly then men her moods and feelings… (Her dress, hair, conversation, and eating habits are all “reflections” of something that is more than a physical appetite.

  10. Good Things That Women Have Responded To • Women have responded greatly to the absence of good fathers who take responsibility for the care raising of their children…. 84% of custodial parents are women. • Women have responded greatly to the need for more education to get higher paying jobs.. Since 1996, women have exceeded men in getting bachelor degrees from schools of higher learning. • Women have responded to the growing need for spiritual enrichment in their lives and attend worship services and bible study 3 times more than men. They seek counsel on average 7 times more often then men before making big decisions in their lives.

  11. Not So Good Things That You respond To • Stereotypical physical images of what beauty has caused many eating and mental disorders in women…. • Women have responded more negatively to the remote control culture and are less physically active then men. They are more vulnerable to quick fixes and marketing schemes then men. • An according to Forbes magazine women watch far more docu-drama reality TV then men and it is having an affect on their own interaction with people.

  12. Forbes Magazine “What Reality TV Is Doing To Women” • “Once again, just like the model in the magazine versus the average-size woman, some still find it hard to differentiate between the reality star and the average woman.” • “The woman on reality TV and the everyday woman are becoming one and the same.” • “Could it be possible that the woman on reality TV is now representative of the woman next door?” • “The girl fight is now an expectation on some reality shows.”

  13. Women- You Are What You Eat • And above all things, guard your “heart” above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Proverbs 4:23) • If you know who Joseline, Mimi, and K Michelle are and have no idea who Mae Jemison is then you may be moving your life in the wrong direction. • If you know more about NeNeLeakes than you know about WangariMaathai then you might be socially eating bad food. • If you don’t know the story of Ursula Burns and how she became the 14th most powerful woman in the world while being married, and a mother, then you might be soaking up the wrong things..

  14. Reality vs. Ideality • We all live in reality, but every Christian must aspire for “Ideality”. • And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)

  15. We will be discussing the Adaption of Women • We will be talking about three women… Ruth, Naomi, and Orpah…. • These three women all encountered environmental changes in their lives that were out of their control.. However, they didn’t all respond the same way and their ends were appropriately different.

  16. Do Unto Others AS …. • Have you compared your child’s or a friend’s life to yours…. And tell them how you never had anyone and how you survived? • You were saying that you faced a less than desirable reality and that they should expect no more from you…. • “My father never, my mother never, my wife never… I never had… I had to ….” • Reality TV says yes… But Jesus says “but” I say to you…. Aspire for Ideality… Do unto to others …Not what was done to you… But what you would have wished that person to have done for you!
