  3. How does Thyphoid Fever spread? Salmonella Typhi lives in only humans. Those humans that have the bacteria in there bloodstream are called Carriers. Its spreads when a carrier touches foods and other people hands. The bacteria travels into your intestines, and into your bloodstream, where it can get into your gallbladder, liver, spleen, and other parts of the body.
