  3. Committed to Student Success Pre-Enrollment: Call Center: Creates personalization. Serves as a point of contact for students, parents, family members. Summer Bridge Programs: Outreach and academic enrichment programs designed to motivate and assist students succeed. Target populations are first-generation students or students who come from families with limited income. Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR): One-day, on-campus introduction to BGSU. Social Media: Creates community via Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets. Welcome Activities: Move In/Opening Weekend: Two-day program to meet faculty, staff and other new students in smaller groups and within major.

Committed to Student Success Early Stages of Enrollment: • Specialized programs: PLA, TRIO, Financial Literacy • Career Planning Course • Introduction to Major Courses  • Academic Culture Discussions • Common Read • Weeks of Welcome: Two weeks of events designed for students to learn about academic and co-curricular learning and engagement opportunities.
