  2. Driving a car gives sheer pleasure and while people are choosing a particular car for themselves, they give a lot of emphasis on power, design, aerodynamics.

  3. However, sometimes you might experience a loss of power while driving or you may feel that your car is not able to perform as it was doing previously.

  4. The loss of power can often be a sudden occurrence and it can be a hard situation to deal with if you do not know the reason behind the issue.

  7. The turbocharger is a common device used in most of the cars as it provides more power to the car by increasing the air pressure in the combustion chamber which allows more fuel to be added to the mixture.

  8. There is no doubt that the turbocharger increases the efficiency of the engine, but if anything goes wrong in them, then the engine is going to lose power.

  9. Furthermore, a simple loose connection or a hole in the tubing can affect its working and if your car is experiencing a loss of power, you must inspect the turbocharger for any defects.

  11. The fuel system of your car is one of the most important parts and its function is to screen any impurities from the fuel.

  12. Furthermore, this is a very important function as it filters out any contaminants present in the fuel and ensures that the engine receives clean fuel.

  13. Due to the nature of its work the fuel filter may get clogged anytime which can lead to impurities getting into the engine and it will eventually affect the performance of your car.

  16. However, before the air enters the combustion chamber, it has to pass through the air filter, which filters the air for any debris, bugs, and other kinds of impurities present in it.

  17. The air filter gets clogged in the process of filtering out contaminants and enough air doesn't reach the engine for the complete combustion of fuel which affects the performance of the car.

  19. Moreover, a malfunctioning catalytic converter can also be the reason behind your car experiencing a loss of power.

  20. The function of the catalytic converter is to reduce harmful emissions by converting the pollutants into water and less harmful gases.

  21. If the catalytic converter malfunctions or gets blocked, then the engine will not be able to rev to its full potential and this causes a loss of power in the car.
