  1. Neuron: Pyramidal cell -Dendritic spines: the little “thorns” on the creepy ominous neuron tree which are points of synaptic contact b/w neurons -Neuronal cell body of pyramidal cell: looks triangular -FYI: axons don’t have spines, but dendrites do

  2. Neuron: Pyramidal cell -Dendritic spines (D) -Axon (A) -You can distinguish between them because axons don’t have spines, but dendrites do *from demo on blackboard sites of synaptic contact with other neighboring neurons

  3. Neuron: Pyramidal cell -Cell soma of pyramidal cell (1) -Apical dendrite (2) -Basal dendrite (3) -Initial portion of axon (4) -Cell soma of neuron in the striatum(5) -Dendrite with spines (6) *from demo on blackboard

  4. Terminal Boutons -(Black arrows) -Terminal Boutons are the terminal knobs that synapse w/ other cells, while Boutons en Passant (buttons in passing) are found along the dendrites. *from demo on blackboard
