  1. Read & annotate the article • Today, we are going to try something a little bit different. • For the article of the week, you will read and annotate on your iPad. If this goes well, we might consider using the iPad for more articles. • You will be answering some questions (on the next slide) and then discussing in your small group. • The article is posted on our class website, but it is under the “Poetry & Non-fiction” links section. Notice that it tells you where to open this attachment.

  2. These should go in your Google Doc with today’s date! • Which word do you think best describes the author’s attitude towards cats? • Admiring • Pessimistic • Realistic • What are two specific phrases (quotation marks included) that support your choice? • Do you think there are any voices or opinions missing in this article? In other words, do you think they should have interviewed and/or included other people or experts on this topic? Explain. • What is something NEW that you learned from this article?
