Summary- MERS coronavirus • Cases have occurred in multiple locations over 1 year • Clear evidence for person-to-person spread (not sustained) • No clear environmental source • No clear treatment or vaccine available • Healthcare worker illness is very concerning, reminiscent of SARS 2003 • Illnesses in returning travelers also concerning • Businesses can be partners in educating travelers
