  5. Active Involvement By sharing the load, we can all accomplish more. The PTA will still be the center of decision making. The committees will divide duties amongst the group in order to fit every life style. These essential elements are to ensure our campus activities are successful. Successful parent involvement ensures a successful campus yielding highly successful scholars. PTA

Dress Standards • To enhance a dynamic learning experience that encourages critical thinking, inspires confidence and nurtures the intellectual and social development necessary for success in college, career and life the following Dress Code applies to all scholars of Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute: • Polo shirt (choice of 3 colors & optional embroidery) • Black bottoms: Choice of pants, walking shorts and skirts for young ladies • One dress embroidered, Oxford shirt • Tie for dress Oxfords- young men & women • Black leather belt • Embroidered sweater for cooler weather (3 style options) • Embroidered Jacket for winter weather (3 style options) • I have included the prices and order information in your packets. The PE Uniform information is also included, but not a visual. • PE Uniforms come from another vendor to aid in the reduction of cost. I will be present at each shopping event and you can pre- purchase at that time ($20 cash only). The purchase time frame falls just within these 3 dates. This is to ensure delivery the first day of school.

  10. Materials School supply lists are included in your packets. Our school supply drop off is included in the Back to school Mixer, August 19th. You may purchase your planner ($5- cash only) that evening or the first day of school. There are resources we will utilize during 1st week orientation, and AVID will review planner processes. By week two, all GPCI scholars will be expected to utilize the planner in every class, every day.
