Once you know the solute concentration, you can calculate solute potential using the following formula:Solute potential (s) = –iCRT • i = the number of particles the molecule will make in water • ex. NaCl = 2 • ex. Sucrose or Glucose = 1 • C = molar concentration (from your experimental data graph) • R = pressure constant = 0.0831 L bar/mole K • T - temp in degrees Kelvin = 273 + oC of solution
