  2. What is Household water contamination? • ill treatment and ill usage of household water. (Water used by the everyday person and in the average household).

  3. What impact it is having in the world/locally? • Ill-treatment of human waste= communicable diseases: cholera, malaria

  4. Why is this a problem? • Lives are getting lost due to the ill treated water that spreads disease. • Because the water is becoming contaminated and is spreading diseases like cholera throughout populated areas.

  5. Rules for Household Water Contamination: • In Oregon, It is not mandatory to create a water protection plan. • A plan was developed in Portland to help protect the Bull run watershed.

  6. Who is affected? • People living in third-world, un-developed countries (India, Haiti) • If we don’t properly treat our water, we might also become slaves to life threatening diseases.

  7. What will happen if issue is not addressed? • People, as well as all surrounding creatures (plants, animals) will severely suffer and possibly die.

  8. Possible Solutions • Regularly cleaning out your septic tank • Proper treatment of our water
