    1. “The Important Thing” By: Mrs. Morley’s Class Based on the concept in the book by Margaret Wise Brown; “The Important Thing” we will be researching the lighthouses of Michigan. This PowerPoint will run while the parents are waiting to have their Parent/Teacher conferences. It will show the parents one aspect of our Michigan studies.     2. 2 “The Important Thing” Each student will randomly draw a Michigan lighthouse. They will research their lighthouse and find 5 interesting points about it. They can use the attached sheet ideas. At least one photo of their lighthouse. Each slide will be automatically run so that the show will be continual. Each child will create a slide for their lighthouse and present them to the class. A CD will be made up of the individual power point presentations for each child to take home.
