  1. DryLin Linear motion

  2. What is DryLin? DryLin® is a range of maintenance-free and lubricant-free linear bearings in four different type series. In addition the range is complemented by complete linear units with spindle drive or toothed belt. Besides the freedom from maintenance and lubricants, the main features include ruggedness and the insensitivity to dirt, water, chemicals, heat or impacts. DryLin types DryLin T DryLin N DryLin W DryLin R DryLin SHT DryLin shafts DryLin screw drives DryLin SET – easy tube DryLin ZLW DryLin NT DryLin WKM DryLin ES

  3. DryLin T- linear guide systems DryLin® T linear guide systems were specially developed for applications in automation and handling systems. The design objective was a rugged linear guide for application in the most diverse - and also extreme - environments. They have the same dimensions as most re-circulating ball bearing guides. http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagenr=1853

  4. DryLin N - low profile guide systems DryLin® N low profile guide systems offer you low profiles in various widths. Like in all drylin® products, the carriage runs without lubrication in anodized aluminium profiles. The material used and the unique design make DryLin® N a cost-efficient and flexible guide system. http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagenr=1969

  5. DryLin W -Linear guide for almost unlimited leeway in design The drylin® W linear guides constitute a cost-efficient preassembled system. The design of the linear guide allows extremely high flexibility in design and a simple installation by the application of single or double rails Hard-anodized aluminium is used as rail material and provides for the best friction and wear results. Avoiding lubrication makes the system extremely resistant to dirt; the cleanliness also makes the system suitable for cleanroom and hygiene applications. http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagenr=1994

  6. DryLin R- linear round guide DryLin® R linear plain bearings are based on extremely wear-resistant polymers specially developed for the linear technology. The dimensions are compatible with standard ball bearings. The special geometry guarantees ruggedness even in extreme environments. http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagenr=2405

  7. DryLin SHT/SLW - lead screw modules The drylin® product portfolio provides lubricant-free linear axles that are driven either by trapezoidal thread, steep thread or toothed belt. The user can choose a suitable individual solution from lightweight solid plastic units up to massive stainless steel solutions. In all systems, the stroke length is freely selectable and the drive implemented either via hand wheel or motor. 1 Main body made of stainless steel, aluminium, zinc or plastic 2 Lubrication-free through polymer bearings and polymer nuts 3 shaft materials 4 Carriages made of anodized aluminium or solid polymer 5 8 trapezoidal thread pitches 4 steep thread pitches 6 Spindle machining according to drawings or spindle pin Steel, stainless steel or aluminium spindles Position indicator, clamping and hand wheels available http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagenr=2359

  8. DryLin shafts Besides the plain bearing, a bearing system also includes the shaft and its surface finish. The objective is to provide the customers with the ideal material to optimize the coefficients of friction, resistance and service life. For this purpose, a construction kit consisting of 8 shaft materials and 29 plain bearing materials are available.

  9. DryLin screw drives/trapezoidal thread and steep thread igus, the leading manufacturer of plastic bearings and lead screws, has introduced new products and line extensions to its comprehensive range of linear drive systems. The lead screws and nuts are dry running, corrosion resistant and maintenance free, enabling precise and accurate linear motion over a long service life. DryLin hard anodised aluminium lead screws are very light in weight. They are non-magnetic and rust proof, making them suitable for applications including mobile devices, medical equipment, scanners, mechanical engineering and safety engineering. To compensate for manufacturing installation tolerances, a combination of a lead screw nut and spherical bearings has been developed. This allows for angular errors that can occur when fitting attachment brackets and this lead screw is perfect for rehabilitation and fitness equipment. http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagename=drylin_trapezgewindemutter

  10. DryLin SET- easy tube The linear unit for light-duty motion control is characterized by a simple but effective and rugged structure. A complete system is modulated from few components. The outer anodized aluminium tube guides the carriage/s and at the same time protects the trapezoidal threaded spindle and lead screw nut from external influences. Carriage, torque support and trapezoidal lead screw nut in one cast and are made of a special plain bearing high-performance polymer. It guarantees freedom from lubrication with simultaneously low coefficient of friction and optimal wear pattern. The iglidur® bearing materials are also used in the axial bearings of the spindle http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?PageNr=3266

  11. DryLin ZLW- toothed belt axis The use of polymer plain bearings on all moving parts makes the toothed belt axis 100% free of maintenance and lubricants. The avoidance of lubricants also means a high insensitivity to dirt as particles do not get stuck on the moving parts. Consequently the axis "offers" a high degree of ruggedness in many applications. You can select between the basic and standard according to the application area and requirement. • Special properties • Deflection with grooved ball bearings • Lubricant-free linear guide using polymer plain bearings • Various carriage lengths • Hard-anodized aluminium profile • Polyurethane or neoprene toothed belts http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagename=drylin_zlw

  12. DryLin NT- telescopic guides Completely lubricant-free linear extensions in continuous stroke lengths of 100mm to 600mm - maximum pulled-out length: 1200mm. The telescopic systems consist of anodized aluminium guide rails and a gliding block made of the proven iglidur material. By the in compounded solid lubricants, iglidur tribopolymers enable dry operation in every application. The advantage - besides being maintenance-free - is the carefree use in clean hygienic environments. No oil or fat can be transmitted to other products, clothing or people. Applications even in cleanroom air showers were already implemented. But the dry operation also has advantages in the dirt accumulation area. Dirt particles do not stick to the guide and do not become a sticky mass. As an option, all telescopic guides can be delivered with a detent in start-medium-end position. Requirements for individually positioned locking positions can be met.

  13. DryLin WKM – digital measuring systems The DryLin® WKM measuring systems are battery powered, magnetically incremental length measuring systems. The integrated battery guarantees a perennial operating time. Thereby a virtually absolute distance measurement is possible. Magnetic tapes serve as standard. The position value is displayed by means of 5-digit LC display. • Delivered ready to install • With or without display • Lubricant-free • Freely selectable stroke lengths • 2-3 days delivery time http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?PageNr=5648

  14. DryLin ES-linear technology made of stainless steel Machine parts made of stainless steel have to weather many elements. Heat, pressure, seawater, liquid and gaseous media like detergents and other chemicals. If these machine parts also have to undertake bearing tasks, the combination with iglidur® high-performance polymers is ideal. All bearings are lubricant-free and the plastic parts are secured axially and radially in the housings with positive fit. The suitable iglidur® material can be selected according to the application and has a bearing for linear and/or rotary motions http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?PageNr=5649
